Sex And The City TV show is a comedy drama series centers around four young, desirable, virtually inspirable, New York bachelor girls who lead and confide in their ever changing and confusing sex lives as different as their nature.

This series is derived from the bestselling book by New York columnist Candace Bushnell and she called the casting of this series ‘brilliant’. Newspaper columnist Carrie Bradshaw is a charming young lady who labels herself a “sexual anthropologist”

Carrie Bradshaw writes columns about sex and relationships in New York City with three of her closet friends. Samantha Jones, a big time publicist who is less interested in long term relationship than on being ‘on the spot’. Miranda Hobbes is a red-hair lawyer determined to score professionally and to be though in love to, yet her only faithful lover is an insecure nerd. Hobbs refuses to accept the possibility of being single and fights society against the social pre- concepts to keep a relationship alive. Charlotte York is an art gallery-managing wasp from a prestigious, super-rich family, with high old-fashioned moral standards for her lovable but insecure self and who is a bit prudish when it comes to sex, but hasn’t yet lost her faith in finding true love.

Carrie both observes and participates in the routines and rituals rampant during Manhattan dating and mating. Women who approach sexual activity in a noncommittal manner are the theme of the pilot episode. Documenting the sex lives of “toxic bachelors,” and the like, Bradshaw has various encounters with the wealthy and powerful Mr. Big, representing the type of man who flirts yet never dates.

Other male types represented here are Artist Guy, Groovy Guy, and Mr. Marvelous. The series premiered June 6, 1998, on HBO and concluded its run after six seasons on February 22, 2004.
