I am sure. No, I am definitely sure, if the movie version of Sex and the city makes women over 40 feel empowered, then, it will be the biggest achievement of director Michael Patrick King. And yeah, I will also be enrapt when Samantha Jones will celebrate her 50^th birthday on big-screen.

Main characters Sarah Jessica Parker aka Carrie Bradshaw, Kristin Davis aka Charlotte, Cattrall aka Samantha Jones and Cynthia aka Miranda Hobbes, they all are over 40 and all these characters are 4 year older than where we last left them in the season finale. Movie will depict all of them moving on with their lives and facing new challenges and troubles. According to the director, the hardest part about movie was the responsibility for the fans that watched series for almost six years and are expecting a lot more from movie version. And yeah, you’re right as we are really expecting much more than series from this movie and hope it will fulfill all that.

Don’t know about you, at least I am crazy to watch these 30 somethings who ruled HBO for six seasons while drinking and sexing in their 40s and some ones into their 50s. Some one new will also join the cast and that’s Jennifer Hudson as Carrie’s tech savvy assistant.

According to the Sex & the City star Sarah Jessica Parker, fans of this hit series will be shocked by the upcoming movie version and the reason is the seriousness of the storyline. Well, if you haven’t watch the last few episodes of the series then catch them here.

Sarah, 42 year old, is playing writer Carrie Bradshaw on the show. She hints the movie is going to make its debut at the Cannes Film Festival in May. She says, “What can I tell you in my own stealth way without giving the story away… A handful of people have seen it and have been very surprised by the seriousness. There’s something that happens in this movie and it’s really about realizing your own complicity and disappointment.”
